At Giraffe House, you’ll meet Gerry the giraffe along with other African wildlife such as zebra, ostriches, and springbok. Located just outside Stellenbosch, this wildlife awareness center offers both educational fun and close-up encounters. Kids will love the interactive reptile shows held throughout the day. It’s a perfect start to your family’s animal adventure, providing a unique opportunity to learn about Africa’s tallest mammals.
Animals to see: Giraffes, zebras, warthogs, eland, meerkats, caracals, blue duiker, cape grysbok, cape foxes, South african tortoises & snakes, ostriches, blue cranes, white storks, lovebirds, African parrots, cape teal, red-billed teal, South African ducks, African starlings and many more…

 

Butterfly World (now Exotic Animal World)
Butterfly World, now known as Exotic Animal World, houses more than just butterflies it’s home to a variety of exotic animals and birds. As you walk through tropical gardens, you’ll encounter everything from colorful parrots to slithery reptiles. This sanctuary is designed to engage visitors with its blend of vibrant animal life and scenic gardens, creating an immersive experience for the whole family.
